Mulberry's Covid Notice
We would like to reassure all our clientele that we are actively following all Government guidelines along with those from the professional bodies in our industry. We are rapidly reviewing and responding to all new measures to ensure we are up to date with this constantly changing situation.
Our main priority is to keep everyone safe and to that end, we have re-invented the Mulberry’s experience. As always, we endeavour to look after you from the minute you step through our doors with the same friendly faces ready to pamper you. There are a few things we ask of our valued clients in order that we can maintain our high standards for the benefit of all, and we’d also like to reassure you we’re doing everything we can too.
Here’s what you can expect:
The New Normal at Mulberry's
PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:
We ask that you DO NOT come in for your appointment if:
You have tested positive for coronavirus, are self-isolating and following government guidelines.
You are waiting for the result of a test for coronavirus.
You live with someone who:
- Has symptoms of coronavirus (COVID 19).
- Is waiting for a coronavirus test result.
- Has tested positive for coronavirus in the last 14 days.
You have any symptoms of coronavirus (COVID 19).

The main symptoms of coronavirus are:
- High temperature: this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).
- New continuous cough: this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).
- Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste: this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
Most people with coronavirus have at least one of these symptoms.
Once your appointment has been booked you will receive a consultation form by email that must be filled in prior to your appointment. The forms will contain a Covid-19 questionnaire alongside your normal health consultation form. These forms will need to be reviewed prior to every treatment. Don’t worry, we will have copies for signing in salon if you are unable to complete online.
All customers are now required to wear a face covering on entering the salon. We will advise if and when the mask can be removed and placed safely to one side during your treatment. If you are exempt from wearing a mask for medical reasons, please email us or call the salon prior to your visit so that we can inform your therapist.
You will be asked to remove any personal PPE e.g. gloves when entering the salon to avoid cross contamination and asked to sanitise at the front door or wash your hands on arrival.
Please follow any markings in the reception area to ensure 1-2 metre social distancing. Please attend your appointment alone unless your companion also has an appointment. We regret we cannot accommodate clients who do not have a scheduled appointment. A minor with their own appointment who requires an accompanying parent or guardian may of course be accompanied.
Waiting Area / Lounge
We kindly request that you arrive promptly at your appointment time and not several minutes beforehand so that we can minimise the number of clients in our waiting area. No sitting or waiting before or after treatments is permitted. In the case of manicures and pedicures, appropriate sandals must be worn to allow you to freely walk out (if the treatment isn’t gel polish and therefore instantly dry). Mulberry’s can provide disposable flip flops, if required, at a charge of £5.00. Should you be running late, please call us to make necessary arrangements.
Please limit the personal belongings you bring with you, including coats, as we are unable to take these from you.
Test & Trace
Please ensure you scan the NHS Covid-19 QR code we have on display in the salon to register your visit. We are obliged to register everyone who visits the salon so please help us to ensure this happens. You can download the NHS app here if you do not have it already. If you are unable to download the app, please notify us so that we can take your details manually.
ADDITIONAL MEASURES WE ARE TAKING :
We have provided new protective screens on reception and in the manicure bays. We have also separated the pedicure pods to maintain distance between clients.
We have always prided ourselves in maintaining our salon ambiance and hygiene, due to Covid we have expanded the cleaning regime further to ensure safety of all clients and staff
Different levels of treatment require different levels of PPE to be worn so the therapists’ PPE attire may vary. We have provided staff with the standard approved PPE and they will always wear the minimum requirement, however, they may also decide to wear further PPE for personal reasons and we ask that you respect this.
Removal of Tester Stands
We have removed tester stands for skincare to limit touching – please ask Reception staff and therapists for help should you need it and we will be more than happy to assist.
We are not adding a Covid surcharge but some prices have been increased slightly due to the amount of disposable items we now must use.
Disposable single use bedding
Where possible we have continued to use disposable materials for each treatment we have invested in bio degradable couch covers which we use frech for every client.
